What are you cooking for the 4th?

Here are some interesting findings about the food that increases most in sales in the week of the 4th .

What Americans Are Buying Most For Their July 4th Cookouts … According to a new study by Instacart here is a list food items that increase in numbers bought during the week leading up to July 4th. Corn tops the list increasing 380%, while beef patties are at the bottom increasing only 126%. Overall, the list looks reasonable, however I do have questions. First, how do Hot dog buns increase by 163% and hotdogs not even make the list. Are we eating more hotdogs without buns or are we just heaving a grilled hot bun for this year’s cook out. Not that I have eaten a hotdog without a bun, I have, but it was late at night, and I had the munchies. I know here in Texas we are a little more advanced than the rest of country when it comes to cooking out. So I’m sure your 4th of July menu includes a lot of things not on this list. Like, I don’t know BRISKET. Let me know in the comment below what else is missing.

Yellow Corn (+380%)

Charcoal (+222%)

Potato Salad (+177%)

Baby Back Ribs (+170%)
