It’s my opinion, but I think Elton John and Bernie Taupin are one of the best song writing teams ever, Bernie with words and Elton with the melodies. There is a video floating around of Elton John explaining his writing process, as he explains he pulls a crumpled piece of paper out of his pocket, it’s lyrics that Bernie Taupin had given him. He uses those lyrics to give an example of the prosses and those lyrics happen to be one of the most famous songs ever recorded, Tiny Dancer. Enjoy!
