Today we honor CPL Sebastian Gallegos, USMC. A true American hero, exemplified unwavering dedication to service. Deployed to war-torn Afghanistan with the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, Sebastian faced the brutal realities of combat. In 2010, an IED blast left him with severe injuries, yet his indomitable spirit endured. Following an arduous recovery, CPL Gallegos retired in 2015, adorned with a Purple Heart and Navy Commendation. We honor his bravery and profound sacrifice for our nation.
