KONO Soldier Salute - Petty Officer 3rd Class Ian Garcia

Kono salutes Petty Officer 3rd Class Ian Garcia of San Antonio, serving aboard USS Carl Vinson, a U.S. Navy warship operating out of San Diego, California, and participating in the biennial Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise in and around the Hawaiian Islands.

Garcia graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 2018.

Tory Christopher

Tory Christopher was born in Wiesbaden, Germany while his dad was on Tour of Duty with the USAF. He grew up in San Antonio and moved to California at age 19, where he became a professional Roller Derby skater with the Los Angeles Thunderbirds while attending broadcasting school.
