KONO salutes Capt. Juan Carlos “JC” Uribe. Uribe relieved Capt. David D. Carnal, as commanding officer, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Business Systems Center (BSC), August 2, onboard Naval Support Activity Mechanicsburg.

Uribe is a native of San Antonio, Texas, and earned his commission through Officer Candidate School in 1999.

Tory Christopher

Tory Christopher was born in Wiesbaden, Germany while his dad was on Tour of Duty with the USAF. He grew up in San Antonio and moved to California at age 19, where he became a professional Roller Derby skater with the Los Angeles Thunderbirds while attending broadcasting school.
