Meet Poppy an American pygmy hippo, she was born on December 9, 2024, to parents Iris and Corwin, at the Richmond Zoo. Poppy has been an internet sensation since she came into the world and now has her own live stream. Here’s what the Richmond Zoo says on their web site “Pygmy hippos are endangered, so this birth is important! Poppy is America’s pygmy hippo princess. She’s raising awareness for her species by stealing hearts on the internet across the world.”
