CPS Energy Natural Gas
Choosing natural gas for your home is one of the best ways you can save energy and money. In fact, the U.S. Department of Energy says that natural gas, when used in combination with electricity, requires up to 30 percent less total energy production than comparable all-electric homes. With natural gas, you can conserve energy without compromising comfort and convenience. Natural gas is not only good for your pocketbook, but it’s also good for the environment. In fact, it’s the cleanest burning fossil fuel. Homes that use natural gas for heat, hot water, drying clothes and cooking contribute up to 60 percent less emissions into our atmosphere. And using natural gas also helps reduce tiny soot particles that can aggravate asthma and other respiratory conditions. CPS Energy is currently offering rebates on gas water heaters – any size, make, model, both tank and tank-less – gas cooktops and stoves and gas dryers. Rebates are available to CPS Energy customers until Dec. 31, 2010. For more information on the benefits of natural gas or rebate requirements, visit cpsenergy.com.
